Hi, I'm Olivia!

I am 17 years old and my passion is in the kitchen. I’ve been in the kitchen since I could walk and my love for cooking and baking has continued to grow since then. I learned to bake at a young age from my mom and grandma, and as I grew older, I loved watching YouTube to learn how to make new things. I was so inspired by baking, and I found myself wanting to take the things I learned and make them my own. My family moved to the Big Island of Hawaii 4 years ago and it sparked a new sense of creativity in myself that is reflected in my baking. I love using fresh, local ingredients and incorporating them into my favorite recipes. I have learned a lot about baking over the years by trial and error and I am excited to share my collection of recipes with all of you and tips on how to make them perfect every time!

“The Rising Rose” is inspired by my name, Olivia Rose, and my growth in the kitchen as I rise to my full potential. It also connects to baking because the dough has to rise! This website mainly focuses on my favorite dessert recipes, and here you will find a combination of the classics as well as some unique recipes with my own spin. I try to make my recipes as clear as possible so that anyone can follow along and start their baking journey. I hope to eventually expand my website to include savory recipes, but for now, enjoy the sweets!
